Lesson Goal: The children will learn that we should follow God’s instructions in the Bible.
Bible Story: Jesus and the greatest commandment (Matthew 22:34-40)
Main Point: To Play On God’s Team, I Must Follow His Instructions!
Bible Verse: “But don’t just listen to God’s word. You must do what it says. Otherwise you are only fooling yourselves.” James 1:22 (NLT)
Lesson 3
Lesson Goal: The children will learn that it is important to pray and read our Bibles at home.
Bible Story: Mary and Martha (Luke 10:38-41)
Main Point: To Play On God’s Team, I Should Pray And Read My Bible At Home!
Bible Verse: “Come close to God, and God will come close to you.” James 4:8a (NLT)
Lesson 4
Lesson Goal: The children will learn that we should share what we know and can do with others.
Bible Story: Jesus sends out the seventy-two (Luke 10:1-23)
Main Point: To Play On God’s Team, I Need To Share What I Know And What I Can Do!
Bible Verse: “Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Matthew 28:19-20 (NLT)
Lesson 5
Lesson Goal: The children will learn that we should be humble and serve those around us.
Bible Story: Jesus washes the disciples’ feet (John 13:1-17)
Main Point: To Play On God’s Team, I Have To Serve And Help Those Around Me!

Lesson 6
Lesson Goal: The children will learn that we should be persistent in prayer.
Bible Story: The parable of the persistent widow (Luke 18:1-8)
Main Point: To Play On God’s Team, I Must Never Give Up Praying!

Lesson 7
Lesson Goal: The children will learn that we should be humble instead of prideful.
Bible Story: The pride of James and John Mark 10:35-45 (NLT)
Main Point: To Play On God’s Team, I Should be Humble!
Bible Verse: “Pride leads to disgrace, but with humility comes wisdom.” Proverbs 11:2 (NLT)
Lesson 8
Lesson Goal: The children will learn that it is important to stick with the team when times get tough.
Bible Story: Jesus gives the disciples a mission (John 19-20; Matthew 28:19)
Main Point: To Play On God’s Team, I Shouldn’t Quit When Times Get Tough!
