15 Dec Treasure Quest Series Tips
Treasure Quest is a journey through the jungle and the life of Jesus!
In Treasure Quest Kids, children will experience a jungle adventure with Kit Windswept and Andi Bennett as they look for the greatest treasure ever. But what Kit and Andi find along the way will be more valuable than any chest of gold and jewels. During this jungle quest, the children will learn all about the life of Jesus and how they can live their lives like Him!
In Treasure Quest Kids, children ages 6-12 will join Kit and Andi as they search for ancient artifacts like the Creation Stone, the Cross Stone, the Resurrection Stone, along with other stones that will lead them through the life of Jesus! While Kit is on the quest simply to find treasure, Andi uses his time with Kit to teach her lessons from the Bible. The children will learn alongside Kit about some of the many characteristics of the life of Jesus. Throughout this eight week series, children in your ministry will learn:
- Sin Separates Us From God!
- God Gave His Best – I Should Give My Best!
- Church is Where I Learn About God!
- God Will Help Me Stand Up Against Temptation!
- Jesus Teaches Me That I Should Not be Selfish!
- Jesus Showed Us that He is the Son of God!
- Jesus Took My Punishment!
- Go and Tell Everyone About Jesus' Power!
This series will show the children in your ministry how God uses the life of Jesus to teach us how we should live our own lives! This series is also great to use for an EASTER series because it walks through Jesus' life, death and resurrection.
The skit style of this series is similar to other Elevate series and uses the typical Teacher/Co-Teacher format where Andi teaches Kit. The series style is similar to Berry Blast Theme Park Kids and Super Sports Spectacular Kids in that the Bible Lesson is embedded within the skit as a part teaching Kit the right thing to do. The Bible Lesson is a hand drawn animation and the lesson is narrated by Andi. To perform this series live, your team can perform segments with Kit and Andi and tell the Bible Lesson live. Current Elevate users will recognize that one of the characters in Treasure Quest is goes on another adventure in Journey Below The Earth Kids.
What’s the same and what’s different?
Treasure Quest Kids differs from other Elevate series in that the Bible Lesson is narrated by Andi, a character from the skit. The skit video for Treasure Quest Kids are more of a “journey” with the characters than a stand-alone skits. You will want to do Lesson 1 first and Lesson 8 last. The Treasure Quest Kids Race is similar to other Elevate series in that there is a jungle themed race involving monkeys that you can use each week during Large Group time. One week the monkeys may race through the trees which the next week they may hide under a barrel. This race is great for getting the children involved and excited about the series.
Note: There is no Treasure Quest Jr. series.
